really; someone wants a .22 to kills zombies? really?
Yes, really. think about it.
1) .22 rimfire is one of the most widely used types of ammunition in the world, so it’s easy to find.
2) It’s not heavy, so you can carry more. Also, if you have a rifle and a pistol that fire the same rounds, its even less weight.
3) It would force you to stay calm and aim. Zombies only have one kill spot, anywhere else is just wasting time and ammo.
4) the low velocity of a .22 makes it a much more effective weapon. A well placed head shot will penetrate the skull, but won’t be able to exit. The round will almost certainly bounce around inside, doing more than enough damage to take down a zombie.
um yeah the only problem is that a 22. wont always go through a piece of plywood when shooting over 100 yrds. so you think it would be better than a ak or an sks or an ar. i dont think so.
Yea, I do think it would be better. Where are you going to find ammo for your AK after you’ve wasted 5 rounds per zombie? Sheer firepower yea, an AR wins hands down. But overall reliability, portability, practicality and rarity of ammo? I’d take the .22 any day.
i would take my 10/22 over those 3 any day. instead of spraying lead everywhere i just squeeze the trigger once and place the bullet where i want it. it's not like you are shooting through armor or cover
