Berkeley Bionics and Lockheed Martin are developing the Human Universal Load Carrier (HULC) which is pronounced "Hulk". It will be hydrolic-powered exoskeleton. The system will carry loads up to 200 pounds. Mobility in combat is one of the major concerns to which a soldier can run at 7 mph for an extended amount of time and it has the ability to move at 10 mph in short bursts. The HULC weighs in at 53 pounds and can be packed up in under 30 seconds. So here's to the future, I need a beer.

so if they can carry 200 lbs of equipment why not just ditch the equipment and load yourself up with 200 lbs of armor an ammo?
this way the user wont feel like he is caring 200lbs. so he will be less fatigued after a days work. my question is how long do the batteries last, or have they installed a nuclear reactor in it?
I second 123, mobility b dammed. And while we're at it, gimme sharks with laser beams attached to their heads already
I doubt that will actually be issued/deployed.
