its a one shot bolt action rifle and went he rotated the bolt and pulled the round out it was and expended casing as far as if he actually did shoot the watermelon he did not the round flying that close to his head would have killed him the velocity of the round and the air displacement would have caused enough pressure to turn his brain to mush
