Brandon was an Orange County Deputy in Orlando Florida. He was killed in December during a traffic violation stop. He was a Marine veteran and served 2 tours in Iraq. The following are words from his widowed wife Virginia, “Brandon showed me what love is, he always told me how much he loved me. He was the hardest worker, best husband and best friend one could ever have."
Thanks Sam for sharing this sad story.

How sad! Rest In Peace!
Semper Fi. Marine. Thank you for your service.
Rest in Peace good sir.
Did a quick search. Coward that shot him committed suicide. A**hole got off too lightly.
i sent this in to the brigade, i went to highschool with brandon and the best man in his wedding is a very close friend of mine. they aren't sure if the guy killed himself or if he accidently shot himself climbing over a wall. i hope like hell it was an accident. its been a rough couple of months around here. he is dearly missed.
I can't thank you guys enough for posting this. he is a hero. he made it through iraq twice and he this is what happens to him in the land he promised to protect. shot by a man he fought for. its sad and this may be the wrong thing to say. sitting at his funeral i thought about the shooters mother burying her son at the same time. she was probably alone and dissapointed and for some reason that kills me too.
RIP DEPUTY COATES. he attended the police academy where i work at. back in 08. Great guy. will be missed.
