Someone care to explain what this is and how it was made? I'm not very familiar with aviation/military smoke faces.
The smoke is from the missile counter measures and the swirls are from the turbulence left behind the A/C.
It’s most likely an Angel Flight. When a C-130 is bringing home fallen troops they let go flares which combined with the wake form what look like Angels Wings.

It is caused by wingtip vortices after discharging defensive flares. The effect is called "Angel Wings."
That is an inspiring tribute…..
That's not a C-130, It's a C-17. But yes they do that.
Eh whatever. Point is it’s a great tribute for the fallen.
