Major league ass kicking equipment!
This is America, FUCK EVERYONE ELSE!!!, but Israel
Having a bad day my cousin
why is it being made from rusty materials?
It sits unprimed in salty air they sandblast it then prime and paint it. takes about two days for steel to rust in thoes conditions
As an engineer, I can really appreciate the THOUSANDS of man hours it takes to not only design, but build something this massive and complex. Truly impressive.
#25 I'd like to land on her swaying deck… Tower, this is Ghost Rider requesting a flyby.
I'd like to catch her #3 wire…GOOD TRAP!
#25 I meant *HER* 3 wire… dang it!!
how do i get to the lower decks?
Whats her name?
Thumbs up if seeing this reminds you of Rivet City
I wonder if anyone died making that Glorious piece of machinery. Not trollin just Curious…
Superb Iron works design, built to do a job as are all Grumman wairbrds, Brilliant set of original WW2 photos Rick never seen any of them before really good reference for a modelmaker thanks for sharing.
I sure hope that steel is American made.
#12 That is one big ass crane.
Here's is the wiki page for it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_George_H.W._Bush…
A couple of interesting tidbits: George bush put his naval aviator wings under the island before it was placed. The ship contains steel from the twin towers.
I would be thrilled to spend some time on a ship like that, learning the ins and outs of how it works and how it is put together. Intriguing.
great pics, 25 is the best
