Had a friend in the service as a roommate and near the end of each month when money was low but still needed beer, MRE's were every meal. There are some good ones
But where's the cheese and veggie omelet?
It's been "retired." I was a huge fan of the old school omelet with ham from way back in the day. Some of the new ones are really good though.
If you can get a hold of one of the "pork sausage patty" meals go for it. Its pure epic awesomeness. For an MRE anyway.
I try to keep a case of MRE's in the house for an emergency but I always end up eating them. I love the cheese and crackers.
Ate a lot of these after hurricane katrina, some a pretty good.
cheese tortelini the best, i don't know if any of these are good, but they mos def get the job done, just throw the tobasco sauce and it's all good
Vegetable crackers…I used to mainline those. The best MRE I ever got, had bacon cheese spread, veggie crackers, that unbelievably delicious powdered apple cider, and peanut butter M&Ms. I didn't even care to remember the entree, it was all about the sides.
Am I a bad person for wanting another hurricane to hit here just so I can get more MREs?
That reminds me of the old ham slice MRE. I've seen fights break out over those.
I will never forget eating choc pudding and custard in a fox-hole in Kuwait. I offered the squeezy cheese to some Iraqi POW's and even they turned their noses up at it! Mind you, due to the Geneva convention I don't think you can inflict British rations on a enemy combatant…..
