yes the bomb explodes before it hits creating two effects the explosive does damage and the bomb blast wipes out the target

Actually, it's called FAE (fuel air explosive). It's an over pressure weapon used in NAM to clear LZ's and scramble brains in the skull. Nasty stuff.

Fuel air bombs are cool.

You guys should check out the MOAB, its a Massive Ordnance Air Blast.
Just that same thing but like million times more powerful.
