since i am not a veteran of the wars of the Middle East/Central Asia i cannot comment too much on this persons effectiveness or ineffectiveness. why is he liked? why is he not liked? honestly guys. does he care about his men? or is he just another yes man for industrial contracts?

He is incredibly intelligent (which comes from years of hard work). Petraeus has to speak with leaders from around the world, show leadership to deployed men and women (from around the world) and find away to balance tough financial decisions brought on from elected policy makers that want more for less b/c of our current budget situation…and like I said, I saw him in a hour plus one-on-one interview, to which he treated the interviewer and even the camera guy with respect
