- My brother is MSgt. Thomas Akers USAF Security Forces. He has been the biggest role model and support in my life, without him there is no telling where I would be at today. He pushed me to finish my education and supported me through that entire process. He has been deployed over in Iraq for a little over 8 months now. Where he is posted at has been nicknamed mortar-rittaville to do the amount of incoming mortars they receive on a weekly routine. I actually heard from him today and got a few pictures from him. He will be heading out of Iraq soon and into Africa for 3 months before he comes back state side. The only picture I have of us together is labeled brothers.. Jessie is our oldest brother to the left, Thomas is the one in the center, and I am the one on the right. The video he sent me of him hitting golf balls outside the AOR.
