I could be wrong, but if the gun holds 515 rounds and it fires 6000 rounds a min then it only takes 5.15 seconds to shoot all the ammo?
From what I understand you're only supposed to fire in short bursts, not long durations like games/movies would have you believe.
so where do the spent shell casings eject or so they get stored somewhere?
they cycle back into the weapon and are downloaded for ammo troops like myself to count and process expenditures.
The M61 is nice…but the GAU-8 is where it’s at. The GAU-8 Avenger was developed, then the Air Force told Fairchild Republic to make it fly…thus the A-10 was born!
