#21 Wild Bill Guarnere of Easy Co, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne. Had the privilege of meeting him and he is an amazing man. And I'm sure he can still kick anyone's butt. His grandson put together a website to honor him and he himself is quite a man. Don't think he ever met a stranger.

We honor those men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice and thank the Lord for those who returned. God bless them all. Thank you for your service.

Great job, Rick. I loved the flow of this post. Lots of heartbreaking pictures of sacrifice and loss, but then it turned the corner and showed the bright side…warriors coming home, families being reunited…and then it ended with something that said, "But let's not forget those of our protectors who are still out there, standing in the gap to keep our enemies at bay."

As a veteran I greatly admire the devotion and respect you give to our troops.

As a veteran of Afghanistan, please remove picture #49. I understand wanting to honor the sacrifices we've made, but showing such a graphic photo brings back bad memories. Thank you for dedicating this to the veterans and current troops.
