“Civil Air Patrol is an all-volunteer benevolent paramilitary organization which also doubles as the Auxiliary of the US Air Force. CAP’s main missions are Cadet Programs (training future leaders), Aerospace Education (educating our members and the public on the importance of aerospace), and Emergency Services (Disaster relief, search and rescue, aerial reconnaissance, and many more). Because we work for the USAF, our members wear the uniforms and follows the traditions and regulations of the USAF. CAP was founded on Dec 1st, 1941, and since then, have been called “America’s best kept secret” (Hoping to change that with this submission). Our cadets are aged 12-21, and our Senior Members (adults) can be 18 or above. Many of our Senior Members are active and retired military who wish to continue to serve their country outside of the military.”
